Day 262: Shadows

You think I would know better

Be truer but the guilt still weighs. 

The words I didn’t say

The calls I forgot to make, 

All weight down on me. 

Maybe I have become comfortable 

Living with the ghosts of the past

With the shadows that crowd my days.
